Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Review
I have predicted previously that I expected dead bodies to mount up in this book like the final act in a Shakespearean tragedy. I was not disappointed. As a matter of fact, the first death occurs on page 12. Sort of a record. In Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone we find out about Harry's parents deaths on the same page, but we don't actually witness them. Ditto Tom Riddle's family in Goblet of Fire (page 2). But nowhere else in the series, not even Goblet of Fire, does the action pick up quite so quickly ......

Scholastic's Seven Questions On Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Who Will Live And Who Will Die? Tough one, but I've already given my thoughts here. Is Snape Good or Evil. I've given my thoughts on this one previously too, but he's good. Will Hogwarts Re-open? My answer is again here (I don't know). But Harry won't attend, regardless. I'd love to be wrong on this one. Who Winds Up With Whom? Harry and Ginny (assuming they both live) Hermione and Ron Lupin and Tonks (assuming they both live) Where are the Horcruxes? The choices are Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, ......

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Review
As I write this, it's only 14 hours and change until the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Some people have managed to get their hands on a copy already through various means. So, since I'll be reviewing that next week, I wanted to go ahead and get my review out of the movie. I saw it last Friday, but just haven't made the time to review it yet. First, let me say that I was a little apprehensive about this movie for several reasons. It's based on my least favorite of the six books ......

What's Going to Happen in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"?
I've spent the last couple of weeks re-reading the first 6 books in this series, partially as a refresher, but also to see if I could find any clues as to what's coming up. One of the ways I searched for clues was by looking for unanswered questions, of which I've found quite a few. Another way was noticing the tone and foreshadowing clues. I'm sure that I've included some questions that are unlikely to be answered. The ones that I think are likely to be answered are in bold, and the ones that I ......

Harry Potter Cover Art
The book cover for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) was revealed today. Interesting, isn't it? A good friend of mine pointed out that it looks to him as if Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort are fighting together against a common enemy. He also thinks that this might be at the Wizengamot, but it looks more like the Quidditch Pitch at Hogwart's to me. Still, I could be mistaken. But who's the common enemy if that is indeed the case? I suspect RAB, if RAB is still alive. My friend thinks ......

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Well, Saturday was, as my postal carrier called it, “Harry Potter Day”. Unlike some of you, I chose to wait by the mailbox rather than be at the store at midnight. Unlike the rest of you, I wanted to know what was going on before November 2008 (anticipated release date of HBP in theatres). So, what did I think of it? Well, it’s not quite as good as Prisoner of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire, but much much better than the disappointing Order of the Phoenix. Also, at 652 pages, it’s a bit lighter than years ......
