The MVP Summit is over, and it rocked. Totally rocked.
It was very cool seeing so many of my friends and colleagues again. Definitely way too many people to list here. I also made a bunch of new friends. I can't wait for the next event.
I spent some time talking with Microsoft about VB Community, and even got to present some of the VB
XNA stuff I had been working on at the Summit. It was very exciting to be addressing Microsoft and a room full of MVPs.
I also spent some time with the INETA Board of Directors, discussing community and membership issues. It was great seeing & talking to them again. Some of them I hadn't seen since TechEd 2005.
I got to see some really awesome VB Future (and Visual Studio Future) stuff that I can't blog about, other than to say it's really fantastic stuff that is going to blow your socks off and that Visual Basic is NOT in any danger of going away.
The Summit Party at the Sci-Fi Museum was pretty awesome, and I'm waiting for D'Arcy's performance video to show up on YouTube. Apparently there are already a few out there (of other folks.)
Oh and apparently my CodeZone swag box arrived while I was gone. Yay! Thank you Trisha! You rock.
