ArcLight Cinemas FTW!

So last night I went out with Ambrose and Steve to see Max Payne. I want in to the movie with no expectations…and STILL left disappointed! I don’t want to give away the plot, but let’s just say that this movie is NOT Constantine 2. The highlight for me was actually the weird casting choices: that girl from That 70’s Show and Family Guy, Nelly Furtado, Chris O’Donnel, Beau Briges, that guy from Grounded for Life…it was just a weird mix of people.

Anyway, the highlight of the experience wasn’t the movie, but the theatre. We went to the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood. This theatre had some kewl features to it from the theatres back home.

For instance, when you buy your tickets you can actually pick which seats you want…so they’re reserved for you and there’s none of this rush to get into the theatre and get your seat first. Also, there was a full bar and restaurant in the theatre…and not a Burger King or something, but a GOOD restaurant. The actual theatre was awesome: stadium seating in chairs that were TOO comfortable (reclining chairs FTW), and the sound system was incredible.

Now, tickets are a bit more…$12 compared to the typical $8 or $9…but for the extra atmosphere and amenities, I don’t think its a big deal. You get what you pay for, and if you want a nicer experience at the movies then you should check this place out.

In a total “OMG” Hollywood moment, I *swear* that I saw Adrian Grenier (Vince Chase on Entourage) in the theatre lobby.
